2025 on the lawns at Tim Smith Wines in Vine Vale saw the only Australian blues artist to be signed to Alligator records, Dave Hole headline the event. Dave Hole is Australia's premier internationally successful bluesman and a highly acclaimed slide guitar virtuoso. He first burst onto the international scene in 1991 with “Short Fuse Blues”, the first of his seven albums released on the prestigious Alligator Records label. He is widely regarded as one of the all time slide guitar greats whose playing is infused with the spirit of such legends as Elmore James, Duane Allman and Johnny Winter. Dave's backing band consisted of members of local legend Chris Finnen's band for Blues in the Vines 2025.
The inaugural event in 2024 got rave reviews with Beretta and Sullivan kicking off the day followed by the lively Honey Badgers. Frank Sultana, winner of the 2023 International Blues Challenge closed out what was a spectacular afternoon of blues music in the middle of the iconic Barossa Valley.
